Have we been contacted by a UFO or Extraterrestrial Life? - 6th Feb 2011

On February 6, 2011, an anomalous signal was detected by a radio telescope. This telescope’s primary function is to search for extraterrestrial activity. There is a possibility that it may have found an alien life!

According to SETI, the origin of the signal is unknown. This was a strong signal and has certain features which are normally indicative of UFO activity. Part of the signal was detected from a GPS satellite.

Although the picture by itself may seem unexciting, it contains a wealth of information. Time labels the vertical axis of the plot; frequency marks the horizontal axis. Astronomers and SETI volunteers are analyzing the data to determine the source.

Radio telescopes are constantly picking up unidentified signals. There has not yet been a signal strong enough to determine its exact source. What makes this signal of particular interest is its frequency, 1420. The WOW signal detected in 1977 was also 1420 MHz. SETI astronomers tell us that hydrogen, the most common element in the universe, resonates at 1420 MHz. Researchers have felt that due to the availability of hydrogen in the cosmos, any extraterrestrial activity will likely transmit on this frequency; giving this signal a stronger likelihood of emanating from a UFO.

BREAKING: Mubarak is in a coma? Report

Ousted Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak is suffering from serious health problems and fainted before his last speech, informed sources in Egypt told Palestinian news agency Ma’an on Sunday.

“Mubarak’s condition was the reason his much anticipated speech on Thursday was delayed. Egyptian army leaders avoided exerting more pressure on the former president in the final days of his rule due to his poor health,” the agency quoted a source as saying.

The Bahrain-based newspaper Al-Wasat reported Saturday that Mubarak had fallen into a coma, quoting sources close to the deposed leader. Read more

South Korea chaos after 'heaviest' snowfall

The heaviest snowfall in more than a century on South Korea's east coast is causing widespread chaos.

Hundreds of houses have collapsed under the weight of the snow. One newspaper described it as a snow bomb.

The South Korean government has deployed 12,000 soldiers to rescue stranded residents.

The worst weather has been in Gangwon province. Weather experts say there will be more snowfall in the area in the coming hours.

"I am 83 years old. It's the heaviest snow in my life. I am really grateful for the soldiers' help," said Park Chae-ran. Read more (with video)

January US deficit grows by $50B, on pace for $1.5T

The federal government's budget deficit grew by $50 billion in January and is expected to finish the year as the highest in history.

The Treasury Department said Thursday the deficit was one of the highest ever for the month of January, second only to the $63 billion deficit recorded two years ago. For the first four months of this budget year, the deficit totaled $418.8 billion, 2.7 percent lower than the same period a year ago.

However, this improving trend is expected to reverse in coming months. The Congressional Budget Office is projecting a record deficit of $1.5 trillion this budget year, which ends in September. The estimate was revised upward last month based on a tax-cut package brokered between the White House and Republicans that will add $400 billion to this year's red ink.

Buried: NSA Report reveals Vietnam War hoaxes, faked attacks - sound familiar?

North Vietnamese made hoax calls to get the US military to bomb its own units during the Vietnam War, according to declassified information that also confirmed US officials faked an incident to escalate the war.

The report was released by the National Security Agency, responsible for much of the United States' codebreaking and eavesdropping work, in response to a "mandatory declassification" request, the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) said Monday.

From the first intercepted cable -- a 1945 message from Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh to his Russian counterpart Joseph Stalin -- to the final evacuation of US spies from Saigon, the 500-page report retold Vietnam War history from the perspective of "signals intelligence", the group said in a statement.

During the war, North Vietnamese intelligence units sometimes succeeded in penetrating US communications systems, and they could monitor American message traffic from within, according to the report "Spartans in Darkness".

China's Dangerous Inflation Examined

Today, almost 1,000 years after paper money first appeared and 350 years after China banned its use, China’s is again issuing excessive amounts of paper money; and, once again, paper money’s initial prosperity is about to give way to inflation and economic chaos in the celestial kingdom.

Southern Weekly, a Chinese language publication, recently noted: China has not only been the country that prints money at the fastest rate but also been the country with the largest money supply in the world in the past decade. China’s M2, a broad measure of money supply, was up 19.46% at the end of November from a year earlier...This compares with 3.3% and 2.5% of annual M2 growth in the US and Japan respectively over the same period…

China's money supply, M2-to-GDP ratio over the past decade is the highest in the world. The nation with the longest history of excessive money printing and consequent inflation has clearly forgotten its past. The past, however, has not forgotten China.

Gerald Celente predicts a coming false flag attack

Celente is now predicting another false flag attack. As he told King World News:
Look for a false flag. Look for something to rally the people around the president. They'll do another one .... Remember the Maine. Remember the Gulf of Tonkin.
He's not talking about Egypt, but the West. For background, see this.

Celente also predicted that the Tunisian and Egyptian protests are not isolated incidents, but the start of revolts and wars caused by the pillaging of the world economy by the giant banks:
The experts… are saying what's going on in Tunisia and Egypt, this is going on in Arab nations. Nah, this is the beginning of something much greater. Figure it out. Civil wars to regional wars to world wars. The Crash of '29 equals the Panic of '08. The Great Depression equals the Great Recession. World War Two equals the First Great War Of The Twenty-First Century.
Celente's predictions might sound wild ... but he's been calling things accurately for decades.

The northern Chilean region of Atacama was struck by a series of moderate quakes last week, causing panic among the local population as the geologists have been warning of an eventual outbreak of tectonic energy in the region.

On Friday a 6.8-magnitude earthquake was registered in Concepcion, capital of the central-southern region of Bio Bio.

On Feb. 27, 2010, an 8.8-magnitude major earthquake struck Bio Bio, leaving more than 500 deaths and 30 billion U.S. dollars of economic losses. Source
